Meet the Directors
Breadcrumbs Productions is an artist-centered organization and employs independent contractors for all administrative and artistic positions. The company operates with four directors who support a network of artists.

Tanner Efinger
Artistic/Executive Director
Tanner Efinger (he/they) is the founding Executive Artistic Director at Breadcrumbs Productions. He is a theatre artist (writer, director, actor, educator, and producer) who worked in New York City and Los Angeles for ten years until 2011, when he moved to the United Kingdom and co-founded the Oxfordshire Theatre Makers. There, he refined his advocacy skills supporting local artists. In 2017, Tanner moved to Syracuse, NY where he founded Breadcrumbs Productions and in 2019, he and his husband opened Wunderbar, a queer bar and theatre in downtown Syracuse, where Breadcrumbs Productions was in residence. Tanner is a graduate of the Artist as Entrepreneur Bootcamp through NYFA, The Leadership Classroom via the Central New York Community Foundation, and the Theatre Leadership Program with ARTNY Theatre and FORGE.

Maya June Dwyer
Director of Development
Maya June Dwyer (she/her) is an interdisciplinary performing artist and director-choreographer specialized in movement for theatre and site-specific immersive work. She has trained and worked with companies including PUSH Physical Theatre, The Hofesh Shechter Company, Meredith Monk, Punchdrunk, and Pilobolus, and is a graduate of Espace Ouvert’s Big Bang contemporary dance training program in Montréal. Her original dance theatre creations have received support from the Alliance of Resident Theatres of New York, the NYS Dance Force, and NYSCA. In addition to her freelance projects, Maya is a consistent collaborator at Le Moyne College, where she is a frequent guest director-choreographer of plays and musicals—most recently Cabaret and Sarah Ruhl’s Orlando. Maya’s performance credits include Harper Pitt, Angels in America, Part 1: Millennium Approaches (Redhouse Arts Center), and PUSH Physical Theatre’s Dracula National Tour. She is currently in development for her first solo work, Mad Scene, which uses movement, techno, and art installation as mediums to crack into the glitching mind and memory of Nina from Chekhov’s The Seagull as she attempts to pull herself apart from her internal patriarchal voyeur. Next season, she is looking forward to choreographing Jagged Little Pill in collaboration with director Temar Underwood at The Redhouse Arts Center. www.mayajunedwyer.com | @mayajunepapaya

Jason Ngo
Director of Opportunity
Jason Ngo (he/they) is a queer Vietnamese-American performance artist, actor, dancer and drag performer. Jason is proud to develop an arts career in his hometown of Syracuse where was first introduced to Breadcrumbs through its adult acting classes. In 2021 Jason co-organized the Asian American Pacific Islander festival and joined Breadcrumbs as Director of Opportunity. Jason is dedicated to fostering diversity, championing inclusivity, and creating opportunities that bridge gaps and uplift marginalized voices. Jason also performs as his drag persona Yuka Liptis.

Declan Rapp
Assistant Executive Director
Declan Rapp (he/him) is the Assistant Executive Director at Breadcrumbs Productions. He graduated in 2022 from Le Moyne College with degrees in Computer Science and Theatre Arts and has since expanded his knowledge in those fields through his work experience. In addition to his work with Breadcrumbs Productions, Declan currently works with Amazon Web Services as a Cloud Support Engineer and as a freelance theater artist with a focus on design and management, producing, and scenic design and construction. Declan feels strongly about creating arts opportunities for students and recent graduates where they can develop their skills.
